When it comes to preserving the charm of historical homes, roofing plays a crucial role. Recently, TMT Roofing, a leading roofing contractor near you, took on the challenge of restoring a historical home with cedar roof shingles. The original roof had no decking, only spaced purlins, and was plagued by severe leaks.
Our dedicated team at TMT Roofing was contracted by the homeowner to undertake this significant project. After receiving approval from the generous historical preservation board, we were committed to saving this beautiful home. We meticulously retained as many historical elements of the roof as possible and even fabricated and restored several steel ridge decorations.
“This project would not have been possible without our hardworking employees and job site managers, as well as an excellent client who was patient throughout the permitting process,” said Tyler Turner, owner of TMT Roofing.
In this remarkable project, we used 17,820 nails and 170 sheets of plywood, removing and installing 8,000 pounds of material to ensure a sturdy and lasting roof. Whether you need a roofing contractor in Lake City, Gainesville, or the surrounding areas, TMT Roofing is your go-to choice. We handle projects of all sizes with the same dedication and expertise.
